"I am currently a pre-medical student at The University of Texas at Austin pursuing a future MD/PhD, with a strong academic foundation in chemistry, biology, and mathematics. I am actively involved in medicinal chemistry research, where I work with advanced laboratory techniques, data analysis, and experimental design. This research experience has strengthened my ability to think critically, explain complex scientific concepts clearly, and connect theory to real-world applications. My coursework includes general and organic chemistry, biology, physics, and calculus, and I consistently strive for high academic performance while balancing research and leadership involvement.
I have several years of tutoring and teaching experience in both formal and informal settings. I currently serve as an Instructional Assistant and peer tutor for General and Organic Chemistry where I support college students in mastering difficult material, preparing for exams, and building strong problem-solving skills. I have also worked with high school students in one-on-one and small-group settings. My teaching approach emphasizes breaking down challenging topics into clear, logical steps, using visuals, practice problems, and real examples to promote deep understanding rather than memorization. I adapt each session to the student’s learning style and pace while helping them build confidence and independence.
I enjoy working with motivated students from middle school through college level, particularly those pursuing STEM courses or pre-health pathways. I am patient, organized, and committed to helping students succeed both academically and personally. My goal as a tutor is to not only improve grades, but also to help students develop critical thinking skills, strong study habits, and a genuine curiosity for learning." less...
