"I'm Jodi! I have a BA in English Literature and an MA in Teacher Education. I have 24 years in education as an HS English teacher teaching grades 9, 10, and 12. I have also taught Creative Writing--I currently have 13 books published in a mystery series. I've written a psychological thriller script that Amazon Prime picked up. I do a lot of educational writing for NCTE (National Council for Teachers of English) and ASCD (Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development).

Education is EXTREMELY important to me. I am an adult who experienced childhood trauma and it was my AMAZING educators who I know were responsible for making me who I am today. I've received the Teacher of the Year award three times since I've been in education--I strive to make every student I work with feel confident in who they are and realize their potential and the opportunities that await them! Once that is done, I LOVE to use creative, fun, engaging ways to introduce the topics we will work on and teach students explicitly while doing observational data to be sure my students understand what is being taught.

I have spent over a decade tutoring K12 level students who are dyslexic readers and working in either small groups or 1:1 on writing skills and reading comprehension, fluency, and tonal skills.
