"I have 32 years of work experience in industry (engineering, manufacturing, leadership) and am currently a licensed and have been an active full time HS math teacher for the last 6 years. During the pandemic, I taught fully remote Algebra 2, Precalculus, and Calculus classes to over 80 students online in a combined synchronous and asynchronous environment. I have also successfully tutored children of family and friends for the last 20 years. Sometimes they stick with me for years, seeing the benefit of an outside-the-classroom expert resource, and sometimes I quickly discovering and clearing up a misconception or by helping them truly see WHY things work the way they do in the specific content area in which they are working, which unlocks future learning for them.
