"My name is Violet and I graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Anthropology from UCLA. I am also a current graduate student at UCLA pursuing my Masters in Social Welfare (MSW). I have extensive qualitative research experience in both data collection and quantitative analysis, with a strong handle in sociological and anthropological theory as well as philosophy. My areas of specialty and interest are colonization, Mexican migration, systemic violence, psychological anthropology, social suffering, social systems, deviance, and abnormality. Additionally, I received an Associates degree in English and graduated with a 4.0 GPA from Ventura College, but transferred to UCLA with the intent of studying the Japanese language.
