"Hi! I’m Kassy, currently completing my Bachelor’s Degree to pursue a career in child and adolescent psychiatry. The path to this career has given me a strong foundation in child development and communication. I also hold several certifications, including Microsoft Office Word, AutoCAD, and Adobe Photoshop, and I have experience with basic JavaScript coding. Additionally, I am bilingual, being fluent in both English and Spanish.

My tutoring and teaching experiences are mainly made up of volunteer work as I am heavily involved with my church community and teach the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine; I also volunteer with the Whit Program, a program which provides tutoring services for students in the foster care system. In this program I work with an assigned student, helping them develop confidence through clear explanations, patience, and consistent encouragement. My favorite teaching experience however has been hosting summer craft camps in which I help students create their own unique home decor projects while teaching them art history and techniques.

These camps strengthened my creativity, classroom management skills, and ability to keep students engaged through interactive learning.

Through these experiences, I have developed a tutoring style that is very positive and aims to keep an optimistic outlook for the future. I love setting goals we can achieve together and building more confidence!
