"Hello! I'm Marvel and I recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and am passionate about helping students succeed and gain confidence in their learning. I have experience tutoring middle and high school students in Algebra, Algebra 2, Biology, and French, including working with 10th graders in an Algebra 2 classroom. I have also worked one-on-one with students as well as in small group and classroom settings, which has taught me how to adapt lessons to meet each student’s individual needs. Mentoring non-English-speaking students and volunteering in a hospital emergency department has strengthened my patience, communication skills, and ability to guide learners of different backgrounds effectively.

My tutoring approach is personalized, encouraging, and focused on each student’s strengths and goals. I aim to create a positive, engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, because that’s how real learning happens. I like to break down complex concepts into understandable steps, provide practice with feedback, and celebrate progress along the way. Being bilingual in English and French allows me to support students who may need extra language help. My ultimate goal is to help students gain understanding, confidence, and independence in their learning.
