"Hello, I am a Professor of Finance, and I teach in Statistics, Finance and College math. I have over a decade of experiences in teaching, degree program design and course development. I possess both B.S and M.S in Chemical Engineering and Ph.D. in Finance. Except for teaching, I am also an active researcher in the fields of Computational Finance and Financial Analytics. I previously hold the short-term position of Visiting Scholar at Osaka University (Japan) and currently I am an Assistant Editor of the Journal of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence.

In past years, I've guided diverse groups of students through a wide range of quantitative subjects, including Probability/Statistics, Data Science, Excel Modeling, Linear Algebra, Econ/Finance, and Algebra/Calculus. My passion lies in helping individual students achieve academic success by breaking down complex concepts and tailoring my approach to meet their unique learning needs, regardless of their starting proficiency. I have taught and mentored students from high school to graduate degrees/professional certificates, in both traditional classroom and virtual settings.

My teaching goal focuses on THREE things (1) Understanding big picture of the relevant knowledge structure, (2) Fostering analytic ability by building connections between previously learned knowledge to a "seemingly new" problem.
