"Hello, I am Kingsley. I’m a fourth-year medical student at Weill Cornell Medical College, a top 10 medical school in the country. I am passionate about science, math and medicine. But more than anything else, I am committed to providing hope, in any way that I can, to people in vulnerable positions. In my day-to-day, the most vulnerable people I encounter are patients, but I also know that anyone pursuing formal education will, at one point or the other, find themselves in a vulnerable state of uncertainty and the feeling of not being good enough.

I’ve felt that way several times in my pursuit of my medical degree (MD). However, at every step of the way, I had mentors and teachers who re-ignited my self-belief and steered me in the right direction. That is what I hope to do for you.

Over the last 5 years, I have tutored 10 students. 4 of them recently graduated from undergrad, with degrees in Biochemistry, Computer Science, Communications and Literature. The students that I have tutored still reach out to this day and update me on their professional journeys—a testament to the long-lasting, longitudinal relationships I develop with my students through empathic and inspiring tutoring.

I can spend the next 4 paragraphs detailing how I majored in neuroscience at Dartmouth College during my undergraduate years or I can list my wide range of accolades including a fellowship at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), but I believe you already have a sense of the kind of person I am, and for that reason, too many words are not necessary.
