"I’ve always been drawn to language — the rhythm of a sentence, the balance of a good paragraph, the way a single word can shift meaning. That love of words led me to earn my B.A. in Journalism from Southern Connecticut State University, where I learned to write with precision, honesty, and care. Later, I went on to complete my Master’s in Social Work at Sacred Heart University, a field that deepened my understanding of people.

During my time at Southern, I worked for a year in the university’s writing lab, tutoring students across disciplines. Whether it was polishing essays, unpacking grammar, or helping someone find their confidence on the page, I came to see how writing could be both a skill and a form of self-expression. Long before that, I’d been the kid who excelled in English and literature classes, ages twelve through sixteen, captivated by novels and essays that showed how language could move and connect people.

Now, I bring that same appreciation for words into my tutoring. My approach is patient, conversational, and attuned to each student’s pace. I believe good writing starts with clarity not just in the page, but in thought.
