"I’m a Cornell University undergraduate with several years of experience tutoring math for students in grades 4–9. Since 2021, I’ve provided individualized, one-on-one support in arithmetic, pre-algebra, algebra, and math exam preparation, helping students strengthen foundational skills while building confidence in their abilities. I have experience working with neurodiverse learners and students who experience math anxiety, and I strive to create a calm, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
In addition to math, I am highly interested in expanding my tutoring to biology and chemistry, which are the subjects I am currently focusing on in my coursework. As a student studying Human Biology, Health, and Society, I enjoy helping others understand complex scientific concepts and connecting material to real-world applications. I approach science tutoring by emphasizing conceptual understanding, clear explanations, and step-by-step problem solving, with the goal of helping students feel confident and engaged rather than overwhelmed.
My teaching style is patient, structured, and adaptable to each student’s learning style. I tailor lessons to individual needs, reinforce strong study habits, and prioritize long-term understanding over memorization. I offer a free initial consultation to discuss goals and ensure a good fit, and I ask for reasonable notice for cancellations. If you’re looking for a supportive, motivated tutor who is excited about helping students grow in math and science, I’d love to connect and help your student succeed." less...
