"Hi! I’m Marium! I’m currently a sophomore at Adelphi University, majoring in Computer Science. I’ve taken courses such as Calculus, Programming, Algebra, and Geometry and many more in college. Through these classes, I realized that what made the biggest difference for me wasn’t just the material, but how it was taught. The teachers and professors who explained concepts clearly, made the lessons fun, and encouraged questions helped me succeed the most. That has inspired the way I tutor. I try to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking anything, and I do my best to break things down in a simple, friendly, and encouraging way. I like to introduce concepts step-by-step, use real examples, and give students time to practice so they build confidence as they go. I always adjust my approach based on each student’s needs and learning style.

I have experience tutoring classmates in computer science, math, and science courses. In CS, I help students who are new to programming with topics like variables, loops, conditionals, basic algorithms, and beginner concepts in Java and Python. In math, I’ve helped students with mathematical subjects focusing on step-by-step problem solving and building foundational skills. I also assist with general science courses, including Biology and introductory level topics, making sure students understand key ideas rather than just memorizing them. I especially enjoy working with students who may feel overwhelmed or unsure of themselves.

My goal is to help students succeed academically while also building their confidence and independence as learners.
