"Hi! I'm Jovina, and I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. While my academic background is rooted in healthcare and science, I’ve been tutoring since 2015, primarily working with K–12 students, especially at the elementary and middle school levels. Over the years, I’ve found that what really helps students succeed isn't just drilling information, but making the material relatable. That’s why I love using real-world examples to explain challenging concepts, particularly in math. It helps students connect what they’re learning to things they experience every day, which makes it both more understandable and more meaningful.

My tutoring experience includes a mix of one-on-one and group sessions, both online and in classroom settings. I also volunteered with ENGin, where I provided online English tutoring to students in Ukraine, which helped me develop even more flexibility and cultural awareness in my teaching style. I always aim to create a comfortable, encouraging learning environment, and I adapt my methods to suit each student's unique learning style and pace.
