"Hello, I'm Melody! I'm a Student currently attending University of California, Irvine pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree. I've been tutoring students of all ages primarily in Mathematics. I know how to exhibit patience, empathy, adaptability, and consistency for my students. I believe tutoring is about creating a safe space for kids who are struggling and need someone to be there for them. I foster an environment where students can feel supported, encouraged, and inspired to improve academically.

Math has always been my favorite subject and I know it can be incredibly difficult at times for students to grasp mathematical concepts especially when school moves so quickly. I like to take my time with students and get real practice in order to make sure that the core ideas we review stick with them. I like having fun while teaching! I encourage students to put their own twist on concepts to remember them easier. I do everything I can to make sure kids feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. It's all part of the process!

I've been tutoring for the last 2 years. I've taught students ranging from elementary school to high school. I stay consistent to having one-on-one sessions with students through Zoom but am open to having in-person meetings.
