"I taught language arts and literature to junior high and high school students in public and private schools for twenty years. I have a passion for these subjects and for making them accessible and meaningful to my students. I love these subjects because they help us to think, feel, and express ourselves more deeply and effectively. They help us to communicate and empathize with others. They help us to process our own experiences and spend some time in the other person’s shoes.

I am a storyteller by nature. I hold a bachelor of arts degree in cinema-television production from the University of Southern California. I have several years of master’s level study in screenwriting and story analysis with a graduate of UCLA’s MFA screenwriting program. I have written numerous essays, poems, screenplays, and songs.
