"I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a major in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice in 2017. I have a diverse background in customer service, social work, coaching, and tutoring. I am in the process of getting my Natural Health Professional certification to help others transform their lives mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. I run a holistic coaching business that aims to help people transform their personal, professional, and educational lives from the inside out. I am interested in getting to the root of clients' barriers, so that they can live healthy, productive, and empowered lives.
I have one year of official tutoring experience through Grade Potential Tutoring; nonetheless, I'm used to playing a 'teacher,' 'coach,' and 'mentor' role in the lives of those around me on a regular basis.
I have experience tutoring kids and young adults who have been diagnosed with ADHD, Autism, and Dyslexia. I have tutored and coached students of all ages--from 3 years old to undergraduate students. While I was in social work, I worked with individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities, so I am no stranger to those who battle with barriers.
I love learning, and because I love learning, teaching others gives me great joy. I am adept at interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds, tailoring learning styles and strategies to each individual, and fostering a student's enthusiasm for learning. Because of my experiences and background in psychology, I have a unique ability to get on others' level, find ways to empower them in their strengths, and get them excited about growing. I like to use different analogies, stories, experiences, and real-world examples to help solidify concepts and bring them closer to home for the learner.
I take my responsibilities to others very seriously. Integrity, responsibility, honor, respect, empathy, and patience are some of my top values, and these are what I will hold myself accountable to." less...
