"My name is Andrew. As an undergraduate, I studied philosophy and completed an interdisciplinary program on global conflict resolution that combined history, sociology, nonprofit administration and political science. The program was very writing and research intensive and also gave me the opportunity to teach conflict resolution in an after-school program in a Baltimore public school for a year. After finishing my undergraduate studies, I gained editorial and research experience in the job market but ultimately returned to graduate school, where I completed a master's in western classics. I now intend to get my doctorate in ancient philosophy.

After working as a tutor for a year with the Simon Scholars Program, I now hope to support students studying history, literature, philosophy and the social sciences by providing a space for them to ask questions, debate ideas, and rigorously develop their written arguments. I am happy to help with research papers, test preparation, and presentations. I welcome any and all feedback on how to improve my tutoring approaches and want the process to be as collaborative as possible.
