"I'm Brock and I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Physics and a minor in Mathematics. I started college wanting to be an engineer, but the more classes I took I realized I was more interested in the theoretical ideas and equations. So I quickly shifted my expertise over to Physics and Math which was highly influenced by the great professors I had in school.

These professors would always answer all my questions and even stay late after class to continue explaining some complicated topics. I first started my tutoring career as a Sophomore in college and I would always try to imitate my favorite professors. I always try to tutor my students by connecting their interests and passions with whatever topics or equations we are currently studying. I believe the more connections students have with their personal experiences to the equations and topics we are learning, the easier and clearer these topics will be to remember and recall later.

After graduating college, I continued to tutor Math and Physics because of my passion for those subjects. I currently tutor high school students in Advanced Placement courses, and I tutor a lot of college students as well. I always have practice problems about our current topic to work through with each student, and I use as many pictures and diagrams as possible because I believe it helps to reinforce the learning if you can "see" the problem we are working through. If the student's learning style is not as visual, my lessons are very adaptable and I can easily change them to fit the learning habits of any student. Even though I have my own practice problems, it is very beneficial to work through the students homework or study guides in the beginning so I can see exactly what their teacher is looking for and I can gauge the current level of difficulty the student is comfortable with.

I'm willing to tutor both in person and online whichever is more convenient. Feel free to contact me anytime and I will respond quickly so we can set up a lesson!" less...
