"I'm Alana! I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in Medical Anthropology, with minors in Biology and Japanese. When I was in high school, I worked as a college-level tutor for my local community college, where I tutored in subjects such as algebra, calculus, trigonometry, and more. That experience taught me how to break down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps and adapt my teaching style to fit different learning needs.

Years later, I worked as a middle school teacher, where I taught a wide range of topics and learned how to keep students engaged, curious, and motivated. Teaching in a classroom setting strengthened my ability to explain material in multiple ways, provide structured support, and build strong relationships with students. I understand that everyone learns differently, and I make it a priority to meet students where they are.
