"Hello, I’m Chris! I graduated from Michigan State University with a Major in Physical Science and a Minor in Mathematics. I also graduated from their College of Education and received my teaching endorsement for teaching all mathematics and science subjects in Grades 6-12. I started my teaching career by teaching three years at a middle school, teaching students from Grades 6-8. After that, I accepted a position teaching high school students in the same district. Over the next 10 years, I taught Grades 9-12. Specifically, I taught Algebra I, Algebra II, Pre-Algebra, Geometry, Chemistry, Biology, and Physical Science. While teaching, I went to Eastern Michigan University to pursue a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. I obtained my Master’s Degree with a 4.0 GPA.

Most recently, I have been the Principal of a school. I spent 7 years as the Principal of a High School with an embedded Early College and currently I serve as the Principal of an elementary school. I love being a school administrator, but I do miss teaching students. In all of my years teaching mathematics and science, I offered my students after-school tutoring as I realize everyone learns differently and sometimes working with them in a smaller setting works best to find the approach that is best for them.
