I have instructed students from middle school to college and adult learners both remotely and in person. I have experience teaching a wide range of subjects, including English, history, math, statistics, biology, chemistry, and test preparation. I have also tutored many undergraduate-level proof-based math courses including real analysis, abstract algebra, topology, and probability. Tutoring students at many levels helps me frame concepts in ways that set students up for success in future classes by preparing them for which concepts are coming next. I also work to help students solve problems through understanding and problem-solving, rather than memorization.
After college, I worked full-time in a genetics research lab at Yale School of Medicine. This gave me firsthand experience with many genetics, evolution, and biotechnology concepts. I have also published some of my research. I am now a student in genetic counseling at the University of Michigan. I am excited to meet more students on Wyzant!" less...
