"Hi, I'm Henry. I love to help people understand things! I have a BA in math and computer science from the University of Chicago, and I recently left Amazon to pursue graduate study after being an engineer there for two years.

I would be happy to help with test prep for the LSAT, ACT, SAT: I scored 36 on the ACT and 1590 on the SAT, and I've done well (95th percentile) on an LSAT practice test, although I haven't taken the real LSAT yet as of September 2025. Standardized tests can and should be gamed, and I will show you how.

I am also able to provide one on one math enrichment for advanced students, which could be planned on a case-by-case basis. I was previously an instructor at MathILy-Er, a selective discrete math summer program for high school students. During my time there, I led lessons on linear algebra, graph theory, and other college-level math topics, working in the "inquiry-based" style of instruction, in which students are guided to explore and prove interesting results themselves instead of having proofs presented to them. This style of instruction is what showed me that math can be beautiful, and I'm eager to share it with others.

I was also a TA for introductory computer science courses at the University of Chicago for two years, and in high school, I tutored my peers in algebra and calculus.
