"Hi, I’m Frances, and I have over 25 years of math teaching and tutoring experience. In my decades as a professional educator, I’ve taught 7th and 8th grade math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Advanced Math, and Trig. I have both a Bachelor of Science degree in Math Education from Mississippi University for Women and a Master’s in Education from William Carey University, where I graduated with a 4.0 GPA. I have also been honored as Teacher of the Year.

I have a deep understanding of how the concepts and skills learned starting in 6th-grade math (the foundation of Algebra) build into the next math level, ensuring a strong foundation for success throughout future math classes. I am especially passionate about tutoring 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students to help them build this solid foundation.

I specialize in identifying areas where students have difficulties with math problems, explaining where they made a mistake, and helping them make the needed corrections to both successfully solve the problem and build a stronger skill foundation of knowledge for other similar problems.
