"I specialize in math tutoring for high school and college students (Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, AP PreCalculus, AP Calculus, AP Statistics). I have an engineering degree and a California teaching credential for math. In 2015 I received recognition from the California State Assembly for my Math differentiation work. I spent 20 years working in IT before becoming a teacher. This summer I have attended a College Board AP Statistics workshop so I'm up to date on all aspects of the AP Statisticss exam and curriculum.

Students come to me for math tutoring for many different reasons and with many different needs. I personalize their instruction to those needs. I am skilled at taking complex topics and breaking them down into manageable steps. I really enjoy relating these steps and topics to prior or everyday knowledge so students can embrace new material with confidence.
