"I'm Mikaela! I graduated magna cum laude from Northeastern University with a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry. Through this degree, I was able to take Calculus I, Calculus II, and Calculus III. Through my coursework and a year of peer tutoring experience for college-level calculus classes, I developed a strong appreciation for making math seem more manageable, step by step.

My tutoring style is structured and hands-on. I like to begin by clearly outlining the concepts that need to be addressed, then walk through an example problem to model the approach. Once we've gone through it, I like to give the student an opportunity to try a similar problem on their own. This method helps reinforce the student's understanding and build problem-solving confidence.

I work with students on Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Calculus, focusing on helping students feel more confident and comfortable with the basics. Whether you're preparing for a test, stuck on a topic, or just want extra practice, I'll meet you where you're at and guide you through the steps.
