"Hello, I'm Marcus! I am a 2020 graduate of Western Michigan University with a Bachelor's of Science in Statistics as well as a minor in Mathematics, and have made the Dean's List twice. Currently I am a graduate student at Michigan State University currently in the Masters of Science program for Applied Statistics. I currently have a 3.5 GPA and am expected to graduate in the spring of 2026. While studying for my major in college, although I did find the subject matter that I was studying to be of great interest, it was the professors and teachers who really helped enable me to take an even further interest. They were more than accommodating in helping answer any questions that I had or in understanding difficult concepts that arose from the taught subjects.

I have not taught or tutored with math homework and problems outside of my family and friends (of which most sessions were one-on-one), but I have studied and gathered experience from what I have studied and gathered through my professors' teachings, as well as the teachings of tutors and teacher's assistants that were available when I had my own shortcomings with schoolwork. As a tutor, I plan to make it my mission to help students understand and achieve their academics as much as possible, and to ensure a lesson plan that helps to accommodate whichever subject the student may be having trouble with. Generally I will start with a broad outline of the subject before providing more specific examples, while ensuring that I provide enough time for the student to practice problems and assist them if they get stuck.

I do also welcome any resources or points that any parent or teacher can provide me with in regards to tutoring.
