I have a BS in Mathematics from Tulane University, a Masters of Education from Vanderbilt University's world-renowned Peabody School of Education, 400+ hours of tutoring on Wyzant, and no less than 5 stars on any lesson ever.

My style is to simply help the student really understand what's happening behind the numbers, so memorization becomes less of a crutch. I take what is already known, no matter how basic, and show that you have the capacity to understand so much from it. I find holes in knowledge, fill them in, and then guide to your own understanding of the material. It's easier than it sounds (promise), and I've seen it benefit so many! You'll see improvement in only a few sessions.

What makes me outstanding is my compassion for students who struggle. Like many others here, I have a BS in Mathematics from a top ranking university. However, what separates me is my psychology education (BS, MEd) & experience as a clinical therapist. I know how it feels to struggle--like you just "can't." It's a roadblock in and of itself, but together we'll remove it.

Location: I am available to meet at any public location in the Boulder/Denver area or directly in your own home (after the initial session). Travel time exceeding 10 minutes (roundtrip from Eben G Park) will be charged at 30% of lesson rate.

Cancellation policy: If you need to cancel, please make sure to give at least 24 hours of notice before the scheduled start time of the lesson to avoid any cancellation fees. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours of notice will be assessed a fee of 50% of the lesson cost, excluding travel time.
