"My name is Fiona. I graduated from New College of Florida in 2020 with a Bachelors in Mathematics, including defending a honors thesis. I have been tutoring in math for six years, starting as a volunteer in middle school tutoring classmates in high school algebra. I worked as a peer tutor at New College of Florida and worked one-on-one with students to improve their understanding of the subject material and improve their academic performance. In addition to working as a peer tutor, I also took a class for four semesters that required I give a presentation on a given math topic to audiences ranging from freshman math students to college professors. With my extensive background in math, I work to communicate the subjects in an approachable manner. I take an individualized approach to my clients, focusing on deepening their understanding of the core concepts.

I have a strong background in algebra, ranging from high school Algebra I and II to college-level abstract algebra. I am also skilled in calculus. I earned a 5 on both the Calculus AB and BC exams while in high school, and I took three years of high-level calculus in college.
