"Hello! I am an experienced math teacher and tutor. I am entering my 6th year as a high school teacher. I have previous experience teaching Algebra 1, Geometry, AFDA, and Algebra 2. I have previous tutoring experience with middle schoolers, high schoolers, and college students. I have had experience and success with helping students pass SOL’s and the SAT and ASVAB tests. I hold a valid VA teaching license. I have a bachelors degree in math education and a masters degree in science education and I am currently in the process of earning my national board certification for teaching.

I love working 1 on 1 with students to really focus on their individual goals and improve their math understanding and ability. I strive to break down complex and difficult topics into more manageable and understandable pieces. I incorporate positive feedback throughout the lesson to build student confidence and constructive feedback to address misconceptions, mistakes, and promote mathematical fluency. I always want my students to feel more confident and capable and see the results of our sessions in their increased understanding of math and their improving grades.
