"Hey I'm Matt! I'm an experienced mathematician with a passion for tutoring young individuals to help them achieve their goals. I graduated magna cum laude from Clemson University with a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering and a Master's Degree in Data Science. While at Clemson, I tutored my peers in organic chemistry and biomechanics for 2 years with marked success.

I currently work as a data scientist (a glorified statistician) at a financial institution. I love my job and the math that works behind the scenes to help our clients achieve their goals. My education taught me the beauty of understanding complicating phenomenon at the most fundamental level, and my tutoring experience showed me the beauty of helping others realize their own potential to achieve this same level of understanding. My goal is to help my students get the idea behind what they're learning, rather than just helping them find the right answer. I believe that when students share this intention, they are able to think beyond the problem at hand and answer with confidence.
