"Hi there! My name is Joseph, and I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Human Biology, and a minor in Biochemistry. While attending college with aspirations to go to medical school, I had the opportunity to tutor fellow college students and I quickly realized that I had a passion for teaching/assisting others taking classes similar to my own. Since then, I have tutored hundreds of students in the life and physical sciences, many of whom were planning on taking the MCAT, NCLEX, and other exams to become health professionals.

My approach to tutoring centers on the importance of research backed learning methods to facilitate knowledge retention and application. What this looks like is connecting with the student on a personal level to understand their strengths, and use them to their advantage. I believe that by using the appropriate tools that match a student's learning style, we can become more efficient learners and make studying feel like less of a chore. I deeply believe in the importance of a good teacher to facilitate the learning process, and have used a variety of approaches to connect with students from a diverse background of cultural, ethnic, and religious differences.

In total, I have 5 years of tutoring experience working with a variety of students. I have worked with students in the areas of biology and chemistry, and have an extensive background specifically in courses concerning human anatomy and physiology, general chemistry (AP chem), organic chemistry, biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology (AP bio), and other related courses.

I want to best help students and make my sessions as productive as possible.
