"I am Aroubah. I’m currently a first-year internal medicine resident. I graduated from a four-year medical school this past May. In undergrad graduated from CUNY Brooklyn College with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. I graduated from Fort Hamilton Honors Academy with a National Honor Society certificate and Advanced Regents diploma. I have a strong background in the sciences and in math. I took many AP courses in high school that helped me surpass some college courses. Some of these AP courses are AP Global History, AP US History, AP Government, AP English Language, AP Literature, and AP Calculus AB. So I have an extensive course history that can help me in many ways to tutor other people. I am very experienced in the sciences and math; however, I was successful in my English and history courses, so if needed, students might be able to lean on me for support in my courses.
In high school, I tutored fellow students ages 14-18 one-on-one in both math and science courses. I also tutored elementary school children ages 8-10 one-on-one in many different subjects, and these students were from a different country, so everything was kind of new for them, and I helped them get through basic schooling. In college, I was a tutor for premed courses for people aged 18+ one-on-one, and I was also a peer-mentor to students in a classroom setting, where I was able to guide them on how to get through college courses. Even if it wasn’t a specific class itself, I helped guide them in the direction of how to study on how to be organized, and how to be confident in their abilities to work and get their job done.
In medical school, I was also a peer mentor where I guided younger medical students, ages 24+ one on how to pass their pre-clinical courses, gave them study tips, as well as gave them study tips during their clinical years and resources to go to in order to pass their required exams during rotations. I hope I can help those who need help through their academic endeavors." less...
