"I’m Andrew, a writer, poet and teacher who loves inspiring his students to bring out the best in their writing and reading skills. Lighting a spark in my students and seeing them excel where they once had doubts or difficulties is my absolute favorite part of tutoring. Though I have been writing poetry and fiction since the age of 14, my journey to becoming a professional writer has been filled with countless trials and learning experiences. I stand ready to share what I have learned, and help you be the best scholar and writer you can be.

In June 2023, I graduated the University of Southern Maine's prestigious Stonecoast program with a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing. In 2021, I received my B.A. in English with honors and distinction from the University of California, Santa Barbara. For the past six years I have tutored native and ESL speakers, have taught at English schools in Ukraine, and have helped students ranging from middle school to master's level.

As a tutor, my goal is to help you build skills that will benefit you throughout your life. Together we will develop your writing ability, reading competence, and critical thinking skills, all of which will serve you throughout academia and the real world.

Though it is the student’s responsibility to learn, it is my duty to spark their desire to learn.

My process is built on helping students appreciate the subject by igniting their curiosity and imagination. At the same time, I help them overcome obstacles that might be discouraging them or hindering their progress. I break down the technical nuances of writing and English in a way that makes sense to the student. Anyone can come to love these subjects using my approach.

As a student develops interest in the subject, the learning process becomes easier, more effective and more fun. Literature, language and writing are my greatest passions, and instilling that fire in my students is what I enjoy most.
