"I have taught middle and high school mathematics for 20 years. I have taught every grade level from grade 6 up to AP Statistics. As a teacher, I believe it is important for students to understand why topics work and how they are connected instead of memorizing separate rules. I want the math to make sense. I believe you are more likely to recall mathematics long term if you understand why the math works. Also, I believe that getting better at almost anything requires some practice. So, I will help you learn the math by clarifying topics and guiding you through practice problems.

As a teacher, my students have performed well on standardized tests. My students in AP Statistics averaged 4.19 over three years with a 97% pass rate. Additionally, students in my geometry classes have, on average, increased their percentile ranks by about 5 points compared to all 9th grade students taking the test.
