"Hi, I'm Chris! After graduating from college with a major in history, I began tutoring in New York City. That was all the way back in 2008!

Since then, I have focused on building a career as a private tutor. I have tutored hundreds of students since 2008 in a myriad of subjects. Over the course of my career, I have tracked the changes in the academic, test prep, and college admissions worlds and have adapted myself to those changes.

As a full-time tutor, I have been able to hone my expertise in many subjects. Although I was a history major, I have come to love math, and I tutor students in math subjects ranging from pre-Algebra through Calculus.

Additionally, I am an expert in test prep. I have tutored dozens of high school students for the SAT and ACT. I also have very extensive experience tutoring the SSAT, the ISEE, and the New York City SHSAT.

Once my students start working with me, they stay with me. I have worked with families starting in middle school to prepare their students for the high school entrance exams, then continued to help these students with their homework through high school (math, English, history, science; I do it all!). Often, these same students will come to me to help them prepare for their SAT and ACT tests, and finally to help them craft their college admissions essays and applications.

I currently work at an independent middle school in Connecticut, where I am the in-school tutor for students with learning differences. I am now teaching a Precalculus course, and in the past have taught a 7th grade math course.

Helping students and families navigate the world of test prep and academic work is my passion.
