"I have a degree in Middle Level Teaching and Learning from Northern Illinois University, with a focus on Math for grades 4–8. I’m also certified to teach in Texas, which has given me both the knowledge and hands-on experience to support students effectively. My background has really helped me understand how to plan engaging lessons, adapt to different learning styles, and create a classroom where students feel comfortable and motivated—especially when it comes to math.

I’ve been teaching and tutoring for over two years, working mainly with students between the ages of 10 and 13. Most of my experience comes from the classroom, where I’ve created and taught math lessons based on state standards, while also making sure they fit the needs of each individual student. I’ve also worked one-on-one with students in person, helping them build a strong foundation in math, get ready for tests, and feel more confident in their abilities. I focus on keeping students involved, helping them truly understand math concepts, and showing them how to apply what they’re learning to real-life situations. My goal is always to create a space where students feel supported, can ask questions freely, and grow at their own pace.
