"Hi! I'm Zaara! I am a Psychology major at Carleton College. I have excelled in many writing-rich courses and served as a writing consultant at Carleton's Writing Center. As a writing consultant, I advised college-level students on every stage of the writing process- from brainstorming to final revision. Most students who attended tutoring sessions were freshmen who needed help with proofreading and revision. I was also part of the Writing Center's Term-Long Program; I worked with the same student once each week for the entire trimester on Standard Academic English.

In addition to my writing consultant role, I have also tutored middle and high school students with reading and writing. I was part of the Reading Buddies program in high school where I worked with a middle student with their reading comprehension skills. Outside the Reading Buddies program, I was an assistant speech coach for my high school's speech team and helped with persuasive-style writing.
