"Hello! My name is Ryan, and I’m a passionate social studies teacher with over seven years of experience inspiring middle and high school students. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical and Educational Studies (2017) with a minor in History from Liberty University, where my love for history sparked my teaching career. To deepen my expertise, I earned a Master’s degree in Education (M.Ed.) with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction from Montana State University Billings, along with a Social Studies Broadfield Endorsement (30 credits in history, 21 in political science, 12 in sociology). In 2024, I completed an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in K-12 Leadership with Principal Licensure from Northwest Missouri State University, a unique credential above a master’s but below a doctorate.
Currently in my seventh year teaching middle and high school social studies, I also have seven summers of summer school experience. I teach U.S. History, World History, U.S. Government & Economics, and middle school social studies, designing lessons that are engaging, relevant, and fun to spark those “lightbulb moments” for students. I’ve also taught students with learning disabilities and in therapeutic settings supporting mental health needs, tailoring strategies to help every learner succeed. My approach connects historical events to real-world applications, fostering critical thinking and enthusiasm.
Students’ handwritten notes from my classroom reflect my impact: “You’ve made me feel so welcomed in your class.” “I really admire your patience and kindness.” “You are hands down my favorite teacher.” “I admire your willingness to help in any way you can.” “I hope your kids grow up to be just like you” “I admire how funny and giving you are.” “I appreciate you for letting me be creative and be myself.” “I admire how much you are willing to help us kids out when we need you the most.” “I really appreciated you for being so cool to me even when I was struggling.”
Let’s work together to achieve your goals!" less...
