"Hello! My name is Marisol C. and I have been tutoring students for five years. I graduated from Bard College with a major in Theater. Currently, I live in Brooklyn where I am an actor, tutor, and work at a marketing company.

I love learning and teaching. My mother is a professor at Yale and we share a great appreciation for what a truly good teacher can do. I engage my students, and I can happily say that (with hard work) every student I have tutored has made significant improvement. Because I have a wide skill-set, I build my curriculum based on my student’s needs. I always make sure the student has time to practice on their own. And most importantly--have fun while doing it all!

My work in education started at Renew Accelerated High School in New Orleans where I taught acting, ACT, and assisted with English and Social Studies classes. I then moved back to New York where I worked with the Huntington Learning Center in Scarsdale. One of my dedicated student's ACT English score went from a 25 to a 35, which really opened up her options for applying to college!

I specialize in Art (Violin, Ukulele, Piano, and Voice), Language, K-8 Math, K-12 English, Social Studies, and the ACT. I have a versatile background. I have worked on multiple platforms: e.g., Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, etc. I look forward to meeting you!
