"Hello, my name is Adaeze and I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. I began having an interest in education early, and was a Teaching Assistant for Anatomy & Physiology during my sophomore year of college. I loved helping other students understand the material, and this love only grew in nursing school, and I found joy helping my fellow students during our group study sessions. I have worked as a medical scribe and quickly became a trainer, employing my skills for teaching in that role as well by finding ways to engage my trainees and explain the work in a way they learned best. I have also tutored English with a specific focus on reading and writing comprehension. I enjoy literature, and it’s great to share that joy and understanding with others!
I began tutoring for NCLEX three years ago and have had the opportunity to tutor a wide array of students and encounter and adapt to all kinds of learning styles. I am passionate about education and believe in preparing and encouraging the next generation of nurses. It is important to focus not only on content, but how to read, understand, and answer questions. I am dedicated to helping students succeed and will work on a student’s weakness in order to turn them into strengths. I emphasize material, critical thinking, and, above all, the goal of patient care. In my sessions I make it my goal to work with students in the way they work best, and always try to foster an environment to promote success.
I focus on working through practice questions and ensuring understanding. I will usually ask students to walk me through their thought process so that I can understand their reasoning and rationale. This helps to establish a baseline and see where improvements can be made - is it in the material? Question comprehension? Nerves? Once we know where the problem lies, we can work on it, and tailor our work to however you learn best. So, let's work on this road to passing NCLEX together!" less...
