"Hello! My name is Virginia and I am an experienced American Sign Language (ASL) Educator with an M.Ed. in Teaching Additional Languages. For the past 15 years, I have helped students gain and improve their fluency in ASL whether that was through formal instruction as a teacher or through tutoring sessions. Some students that I have had the pleasure of working with have moved on to pursue careers related to ASL, such as Interpreting, Special Education, or Deaf Education. There is nothing more rewarding than to see or hear about former students taking off with their language fluency and being excited to do more with it!

Over my teaching and tutoring career, I have taught ASL students of various ages and abilities. I have experience working with international students, students with learning disabilities, as well as students with deafness. I am patient and understand that there is not a one-size-fits-all approach to education. Thus, I strive to tailor my lessons to align with my students’ learning styles, needs, goals, and preferences.
