"Hi! I’m Lydia, a PharmD and experienced tutor specializing in NAPLEX math, pharmacy calculations, chemistry, and algebra.

Many of my students are pharmacy graduates who struggle with the NAPLEX due to math, as well as pharmacy, nursing and healthcare students feeling overwhelmed by dosage calculations, pharmacokinetics, or biostatistics. I also work with high school and undergraduate students in General Chemistry and Algebra, including those who need extra structure, confidence or support keeping up with coursework.

I’ve been tutoring since 2012 and tailor every session to how you learn. I’m known for being supportive and thorough, while also helping students build the practice habits needed for retention and progress, whether that means mastering foundational skills or preparing for a high-stakes exam. I provide clear explanations, structured sessions and guidance on how to practice between meetings. After sessions, students typically receive custom notes, optional session recordings, and targeted practice problems, often written to closely match how questions appear on exams or assignments. I also help students develop effective study strategies so improvement continues between lessons.

Academically, I earned my Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the University of Florida and passed the NAPLEX on my first attempt. I graduated pharmacy school with a 3.9 GPA and received the Academic Achievement Award three years in a row. My undergraduate background includes a 4.0 science GPA, a 99th percentile PCAT score and an academic scholar award.

Outside of tutoring, my teaching experience includes serving as a Chemistry Lab TA, Chemistry Learning Assistant, and Biology Peer-Led Team Learning Leader at Florida International University as well as tutoring high-school students through Upward Bound.
