"I’m Tyler! I graduated from Swarthmore College in 2024 with a dual degree in Chemistry and English Literature. During my time there, I discovered my passion for teaching by tutoring General Chemistry at both the high school and college levels. Over the course of four years, I accumulated more than 250 hours of tutoring experience, working one-on-one with students to help them master challenging concepts and develop stronger problem-solving skills. In addition to tutoring, I served as a student teacher for a semester at a local high school, where I co-taught a college preparatory chemistry course and gained valuable classroom teaching experience. These opportunities allowed me to work with students from a variety of backgrounds and learning styles, building my ability to adapt lessons to meet individual needs.

Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Analytical Chemistry at Purdue University, which is ranked as the top program in the country for my field. My graduate work has strengthened both my technical expertise and my ability to explain complex ideas clearly and effectively. When I tutor, I focus on building a supportive and engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring different approaches to learning. I create personalized lesson plans, provide detailed homework help, and share study strategies that I know are effective from both my teaching and personal academic experience.
