"Hello, I am Dr. Tolson, an experienced educator with a true passion for science! I have been teaching in the public school system for 10 years now and have had great success with my students! I enjoy using various techniques to capture the attention of students.

I began my journey in education after completing a teacher education program at Alabama State University, where I majored in Health Education. My teaching career began teaching middle school science. I have taught all branches of middle school science, including physical science, life science, and earth/space science. My students have a track record of success on standardized exams. I integrate reading strategies into instruction, which is something that many young adults struggle with. I emphasize the use of understanding the root of scientific words. I also encourage the understanding of vocabulary words.

My own educational experiences have allowed me to gain knowledge and skills in teaching diverse student populations. I prefer one-on-one tutoring and enjoy engaging with my students with fun and challenging problems.
