"Thank you for your interest in my classes!
My name is Elizabeth. I am a Russian-trained classical concert pianist and published music historian. I have a Master of Arts in Historical Musicology (Music History, Theory, and Criticism) from the Jacobs School of Music, as well as a Bachelor of Music in Classical Piano Performance.
I hold Doctoral Certifications in classical piano performance, and my career as a classical pianist has allowed me to perform as a solo and collaborative artist in concerts and competitions across the United States, central Europe, and Australia. I have also served on competition juries and admissions committees for festivals and universities.
I began teaching music in 2012 as most do, by offering private piano lessons while I worked toward my degrees. This led to teaching opportunities with several national music schools, including private music foundations, continuing education for adult students, a school specializing in private music lessons to young students with disabilities, and a not-for-profit organization that brought extracurricular music programs to public schools.
My hope is that each student has the opportunity to gain a love for the art of music making and an appreciation of its history and its significance in our modern world. Every student, whether they want to make music for their own enjoyment, to play in their school ensemble, or dreams of making music their future profession, should have access to music education. By offering reasonably priced group courses, I hope that every student is able to develop a life-long passion for classical music.
I hope to see you in the studio soon!" less...
