"My name is Eric, a UCLA graduate currently working as a software engineer at a tech company in Silicon Valley. Music has always been a profound part of my life. I hold a Level 10 piano certification from the Central Conservatory of Music in China and successfully organized a solo concert featuring Chopin’s piano works at the Nautica Nordic Art Center in Kunming. After moving to the United States, I had the privilege of studying under the renowned Russian pianist Erna Gulabyan.

With over 7 years of experience in piano teaching privately and performing, I am excited to offer bilingual (Chinese and English) piano lessons on weekends. My teaching schedule is flexible, with lessons available from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and specific times can be arranged in advance. I am a dedicated and responsible teacher with an open and gentle personality, excelling at communicating with both adult beginners and children. My goal is to spark your musical interest and effectively encourage you on your musical journey.

My teaching approach focuses on fostering aesthetic appreciation through a balanced understanding of both emotional and rational aspects of music. I aim to address core issues, explain foundational logic, and provide targeted guidance for students preparing for exams—including music theory to help you achieve a merit or higher. Each lesson is customized to meet your individual needs. I offer reasonable rates, and for in-person lessons, I teach in the San Francisco Bay Area, primarily near South Bay (San Jose) and the Mid-Peninsula.
