"Hi, I'm Aubrey! I have a B.S. in Computer Science and I worked in the software industry for over 20 years, including as a team and project leader. During that time, I mentored and tutored countless junior engineers. Before that, I was a teaching assistant in graduate school, as well as a private tutor for undergraduate topics. I'm comfortable working with many different learning styles, even for complicated and abstract ideas.

I want to help you master computer science topics including data structures, algorithms, and discrete math. We can take these topics very rigorously, working through the math together. Or I can help you understand them functionally so that you can apply them as appropriate and get on with building things.

I am also ready to help you tackle industry topics such as software design; development tools like IDEs, compilers, and build systems; cloud providers; software delivery; software orchestration, virtualization, and containerization; and many more. Again, we can work through the base details, learning how to build these systems. Or I can introduce you to them at a functional level so you can keep moving forward.

I'm ready to teach you any of the following programming languages: Python, C, C++, Java, and JavaScript. I'm also eager to teach you the Linux operating system or the Arduino ecosystem, if you're interested in those.
