"I'm Tom! I graduated from Salisbury University with a degree in Elementary Education and a Master's in Reading. I have been a teacher for the last 28 years. During my time at Lockerman, I have been a Language Arts teacher, a teacher specialist and I am currently a Reading Intervention teacher. I am trained in Orton Gillingham, Wilson Reading, System 44, Read 180 and Failure Free reading programs. I love to work with students to diagnose their needs and match them with the correct methods to improve student confidence. I will meet with your student to assess their strengths and needs and then work to provide a plan for improvement. I have worked with students from 1st grade to adult during my teaching career. I can work with students who need help with phonics, writing, literature and reading comprehension.

Although I have been teaching for awhile I still get excited to see the breakthroughs I have with my current students. Outside of school I enjoy soccer and skateboarding, and I look to make connections with student interest and their reading activities.
