"Hi, I’m Toni and I have 20 years of teaching experience. I have experience using Orton Gillingham method and various reading programs. I earned a bachelors degree at Metropolitan State College of Denver in land-use planning. I decided to make a career change to teaching. I received an M. Ed in Special Education in 2005 from the University of Illinois at Chicago. In 2009, I returned to the University of Illinois in Chicago and earned another M.Ed in Reading. I am a licensed Reading Specialist and Special Education Teacher.

Presently, I am the reading specialist and literacy coach for an elementary school where I work with students from grades K - 5. My strengths include teaching all aspects of literacy, which includes phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, comprehension, grammar, spelling, writing, and vocabulary.
