"My name is Rachelle, and I am an incoming Dartmouth College student majoring in Sociology. I truly believe students learn best when they feel supported, encouraged, and cared for. I do not see tutoring as just a job or something I do for money. I genuinely care about the students I work with, and I want them to feel safe, respected, and confident when they learn with me. My goal is to be someone they can trust, rely on, and feel comfortable turning to whenever they need help.
I tutor Elementary Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry. I have real experience working with younger students, as I have taught at an academic academy for K–6th grade students. I have also personally tutored a 2nd grader and a 5th grader for two years, helping them build stronger skills, confidence, and a healthier relationship with learning. These experiences taught me patience, kindness, and how important it is to meet students where they are.
My teaching style is patient, gentle, and understanding. I take time to explain concepts clearly, break them down into simple steps, and help students understand why things work, not just how to solve them. I truly believe every student is capable of success, and I am confident that with the right guidance and encouragement, they can improve, grow, and feel proud of what they achieve. With my help and support, I believe students can not only do well in math, but also gain real confidence in themselves.
Beyond academics, building genuine connections matters to me. I treat every student with kindness and respect, and I always want them to feel valued as a person, not just as a student. I celebrate their progress, stay patient through challenges, and always do my best to help them succeed.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I would love the opportunity to support you or your child in learning, growing, and believing in what is possible. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a lesson. I look forward to working together." less...
