"Hi, my name Is Susan. I have attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and completed a degree in Social Work with a minor in Psychology. This is where I began my love for tutoring as I was given a work-study position with the university working in the local schools.

I further went on to Western New Mexico University also focusing on Social Work and Clinical Psychology. My love for education was confirmed during this time and I have taken some special ed classwork such as Nature and Needs in Behavioral development.

As a former Substance abuse worker, I have observed the need for formal education, especially in English. I left this position and I began working with New Hanover County School in which, I have been employed as a substitute teacher focusing on the Exceptional Students and the Resource department.

I have combined the Psychology and educational components to best suit the child's needs to ensure the best outcome for each student. My patients and understanding have proven a successful combination for the students.
